Envy chooses FORscene

Forbidden Technologies, the AIM quoted developer of the market leading Cloud

video platform FORscene, is pleased to announce that Envy Post Production

("Envy") has chosen to provide FORscene as its logging and rough cut editing

platform.

Envy is winner of the Best Post Production House award at the Broadcast Awards

2008, 2009 and 2010. It is a large London facilities house spread across three

locations, with an extensive range of services available to clients and nearly

100 edit suites.

Grand Designs, Britains Next Top Model and Dispatches are some of the television programmes that use Envy for post production.

Local FORscene Servers using watch folder technology will be based at Envy to

digitise and upload video to the FORscene Cloud. FORscene will be used for

logging and rough cut story editing by Envy clients, regardless of their

location. Envy will be providing the training and support to its clients.

It represents a continuation of Forbiddens strategy to partner with established

third parties to provide new routes to market for FORscene. This arrangement is

part of a new move towards partners supporting their own customers, allowing

FORscene sales to move up another step with minimal additional costs for

Forbidden.

Jai Cave, Head of Offline Services at Envy said:

"Weve used FORscene on productions at Envy before. With its position as the

logging and rough cut editing platform of choice for broadcast post weve chosen

it to provide to our clients. Ive been impressed with the developments in

workflow since I first saw it two years ago. The recent watch folder integration

with Avid storage was a significant factor in our decision to provide this tool

to our clients."

Pete Burns, Project Manager at Forbidden Technologies, said:

"Envy has a reputation as one of the top post production facilities in the UK.

Were pleased that they have chosen to provide FORscene to their clients and

look forward to the increased exposure that FORscene will receive in the

broadcast post production market."
